From San Francisco, the most practical option is Caltrain (commuter rail) from 4th & King station to Santa Clara, with a 60-75 minute ride. From Santa Clara station, a shuttle or 20-minute walk reaches the stadium. On event days, Caltrain operates additional trains. VTA Light Rail has a station (Great America) directly next to the stadium, but connecting from Caltrain requires a transfer at Mountain View.

Another option is the express shuttle from downtown San Jose (20 minutes by car from the stadium). San Jose is a practical lodging alternative, closer and cheaper than San Francisco. If driving, the stadium has ample parking in the Great America theme park lots, with prices of $40-60 USD. Uber and Lyft work well in Silicon Valley but post-event wait times can be 30-45 minutes. San Jose, 15 minutes by car, has more varied options and a more active nightlife. For those insisting on staying in San Francisco, the 65 km commute to the stadium will require careful planning.

For dining, Santana Row in San Jose (15 minutes from the stadium) is the area's most popular gastronomic destination, with Italian, Japanese, Mexican, and American restaurants. In Santa Clara, the restaurant scene is more casual but functional. Silicon Valley's cultural diversity is reflected in its food: Indian restaurants in Sunnyvale, authentic taquerias in East San Jose, and dim sum in Cupertino. For Latin American fans, the Story Road corridor in East San Jose has the best Mexican food in the area.
