NRG Stadium

NRG Stadium is located on NRG Parkway, in southwest Houston. The best transportation option is the METRORail Red Line, which goes from downtown Houston (Midtown, Museum District) directly to the NRG Park station, with a ride of approximately 20 minutes from Main Street Square.

METRORail costs $1.25 USD per ride and has extended service on event days. NRG Park station is a 5-minute walk from stadium entrances. This is by far the most recommended option.

If driving, NRG Park has ample parking at $30-50 USD. Access is via the 610 Loop or Old Spanish Trail. Uber and Lyft operate with designated pickup zones. From George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), the drive is 45-60 minutes. From Hobby Airport (HOU), only 15-20 minutes.

NRG Stadium has three main levels: lower level (100), club level (300), and upper level (500). Sections are numbered clockwise starting from the north end.

The sideline 100-level sections (120-130 and 134-144) offer the closest pitch view. The club level (300) combines good visibility with access to climate-controlled lounges with bar and food service. Suites are located between the 100 and 300 levels.

The 500 level is the most affordable and elevated, but thanks to the stadium design, sightlines are respectable. When the roof is closed (very likely during the summer World Cup), the acoustic environment amplifies significantly. The end zones are the most affordable areas and offer frontal views of the goals.

The NRG Park area has hotels on Kirby Drive and the Texas Medical Center area, minutes from the stadium. Options like Hilton Houston Post Oak, Hotel ZaZa Museum District, and multiple chain hotels on Main Street (near METRORail) offer a good combination of price and access.

For those who prefer more urban life, Midtown and Montrose (15-20 minutes by METRORail) are Houston's trendy neighborhoods with bars, restaurants, and Airbnbs.

Houston is a culinary paradise and one of America's most culinarily diverse cities. The Mexican community concentrates in the Harrisburg and Magnolia Park area (East End), where you'll find taquerias, Latin markets, and Sinaloa-style seafood restaurants. Near the stadium, Kirby Drive has Tex-Mex restaurants like Pappasito's Cantina. Houston's Chinatown (Bellaire Blvd) is the largest in the southern US.

NRG Stadium complies with the ADA and offers accessible seating on all three levels with unobstructed views and companion seating. Elevators and ramps connect all levels. Accessible restrooms are available throughout the stadium.

METRORail is wheelchair accessible, greatly facilitating transportation for visitors with mobility disabilities. ADA parking is available in lots near entrances. Guest Services offers loaner wheelchairs and assistive listening devices.

NRG's retractable roof ensures climate-controlled conditions inside the stadium, an important accessibility factor given Houston's extreme summer heat. For families, nursing rooms and diaper-changing areas are available on each level.
